So a music editor came in to my Editing class and spoke to the class about what he does, how he got there, etc. This is not the first, but what I liked about it mostly was the subject of his publications which is music.
What he shared, as did other editors before him, was a sort of struggle to explain to a younger “generation” how to enter the world of journalism.
In a world of Twitter, Tumblr & YouTube with people becoming their own bosses and getting hired seemingly on accident; how do you make yourself different in a generation of people who want to be noticed?
