Webster dictionary defines privacy as the state of being away from public attention, or being alone. With today’s media frenzy, privacy is seldom had.

The 21st century has brought forth a whole new wave of technology, as well as the birth of social media. Social Media is all about putting personal information out for the world to see to gain attention.With Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and many others gaining popularity every day, privacy will be a foreign concept for generations to come.

People across the nation post pictures, statuses, and videos whenever they can to try and get the most likes, favorites or retweets. Society in the 21st century deems social media as the closest way to measure an individual’s level of popularity.
