President Obama was expected to arrive in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon to take part in some events for the Democratic National Committee, according to the White House.
The president will travel aboard Air Force One and arrive at Los Angeles International Airport sometime in the afternoon, a White House news release stated. An exact arrival time was not provided.
Obama will take part in a DNC roundtable at a private residence before attending a second DNC event at another home, according to the release.
As in past visits, a number of rolling road closures were anticipated to accommodate the president’s motorcade, including a number in L.A.’s Westside area that were scheduled during the afternoon rush hour on Thursday.
In addition to more Westside-area closures on Friday morning during rush hour traffic, some streets in the Pasadena area would also be shut down because of the presidential visit.
